Just got back. Teddy tested positive for Giardia. The vet gave him medication to treat it and said if he wasn't back to 100% after the meds to bring in a fresh poop sample. They both had to have blood drawn to check for heartworm before the vet would renew their prescription. Neither one made a peep during the procedure, Woody just pulled his paw away a few times. I was really proud of them

Awwwww.... poor ! Charlene scares me to pieces 'cause she licks frozen puddles in the parking lot if she gets a chance. I try desperately not to let her, but every once in awhile...

When we walk Woody doesn't do anything except walk in a straight line. Teddy on the other hand is always smelling or trying to lick something even though I try so hard not to let him do it. He could also have stepped in whatever and then licked his paws when he got home.

Oh my, I've been through that! Holly had giardia when she came to us from the breeder. It took 3 rounds of drugs to get her over it. I hope you have much better luck than me What brave boys you have! The first time they tried to draw blood from Holly's front leg, they were having so much trouble because the veins were so tiny. Then, when she stuck the needle in, Holly jerked and the needle ended up in the vet tech's arm. I know Holly was laughing about that Now they take her in the back room and draw it from her neck -- I hate that!

They draw it from her....neck?? I really thought Woody would put up a fight but he just pulled his paw a few times. He really hates having them touched and does the same thing when I cut his nails. You know it's times like this I really appreciate forums I was worried what would happen if Teddy wasn't better after his meds were done so it's nice to know Holly needed three rounds in order to get rid of it

Ernie didn't have Giardia but he had to have blood drawn for heart worm test. He's a little fella and Dr. Tippin had a terrible time getting his blood and she tried in the neck too. In fact, she couldn't get it the first time we took him. We had to take him back. She said she just refused to stick him anymore. Poor little Ernie, he was such a little He just sat and shivered as she was trying to get it. I kept blinking my eyes so I wouldn't cry.
