I'm a little worried about him. For the last week he's had very soft poop that sticks to the wee wee pads, kind of gelatinous Sorry to be so descriptive I just wanted to know if anyone else has ever had the same thing happen. I thought it was maybe the toothpaste so I stopped using it and brush without it. I also cut out the apple and carrots I gave him every morning. I've been feeding him boiled chopped meat and rice for his breakfast and dinner. His poops were more formed a day ago but last night it was just a gross pile and he did the same thing this morning I'm really puzzled what it could be because he has a very limited diet and is acting totally normal I'm taking him to the vet on Monday.

awww, poor Teddy It's ironic to see this post as Holly had mushy poo this morning too!! I've been noticing the last couple days that it was formed but not quite as hard and had a lot of light brown coloring mixed in. So last night I got her some yogurt because I haven't been feeding it to her for quite a while, and this morning, it was terrible!! I just kept waiting for full-blown diarrhea all day, but tonight, her stool was much better (not perfect, but all the same color and all formed). I feed her Dannon Activia vanilla to keep some good bacteria in her belly, but I've not been doing it lately. I know that being without the yogurt didn't cause her problem, but I do think it helps if they do get a bit of an upset tummy. Maybe Teddy could use some?? Or pumpkin, which people swear by for firming up the stool. The last time Holly had it really bad, she needed antibiotics from the vet to get over it because the chicken and rice firmed it up for a day and then it was back again. Good luck! I'm sure he'll be fine. Give him a big kiss from Holly!!

That could be it as well Lin. Teddy does seem to be very sensitive to change I'm so glad you mentioned yogurt and pumpkin Trisha. I never thought to try either of those but as soon as I read your post I remembered all the times people posted about using yogurt and pumpkin Today his poop was more formed but still the same consistency so he's definitely still going to the vet on Monday. I'll let you know how it turns out

More nastiness this morning I'm afraid but he's still acting totally normal which is good. I really think he must of picked up something from our walks because he doesn't go anywhere else.

Aww poor Teddy. I know that when Izzy had her recent scare with the diarrhea the vet said that they can get it from so many different things and didn't act like it was anything major, so I'm sure he'll be okay. Izzy's was kind of gelatinous and then bloody, until the point it just seemed to be pure blood, I was really scared and took her to the Emergency Vet where they just gave her something for her tummy and some antibiotic. She got over it right away. I hope he's feeling better soon! Let us know what the vet says.
