Zoey's Home from her Spay

ZOEY"S HOME !!!!!!!! and she did great I am so excited. Thank you ALL for all your kind words, thoughts and prayers. My poor little . He had to open her up alittle more then usual to look around to see what was going on. He used gas on her. Her uterus was enlarged and he said it was Endometritis caused buy bacteria that can creep from the BLEEP when they are in heat. ???He also said there was alot of puss so I think she also had some pyometra going along with it. She is resting now. He sent her home with pain meds for the next 3 days. I think this may be the whole cause of her increased bile acids tests. Hopefully she's on the mend and no more leaky pees and hopefully she will gain some weight.

How is Zoey doing today?

Thanks everyone for the well wishes. Zoey is doing well today. I gave her the pain med at 6 am so she is still sleeping. It's hard to try to keep her from jumping so I keep her in her small pen with her kennel, food, water and pee pads for most of the day. SHe seems to be recovering quite nicely and some of the swelling in her private parts has already gone down.

How is Zoey doing? Has she stopped leaking?

Zoey is doing great. The swelling of her teets and vjj have gone down alot. Still some swelling, but going down. She is still leaking somewhat after she pees. The vet wants to give it another week or so and recheck a urine and maybe start her spinchter (sp) tightening med, Prion I think to see if that helps. Poor little Zoey she gets so imbarressed when she leaks. She is really wild, thought the spay would calm her down a bit but not little Zoey.
