Two of the babies were due for rabies shots, Ernie and Charlene. Sooooo we took them to Petco today and got their $5 rabies shots. Ernie and Briscoe aren't due until next year. And the only other shots due this year is for Charlene for the 5 or 7 way, whichever. And my sister will give that to her. Now all we have to do is get Char and Bri's license. Whewwwww.... Dogs are expensive any way you cut it, but we are so very grateful to be able to get the rabies for $5. There were so many people there, and I love getting into those crowds with lots of dogs and people. I know that there are risks, but I think they are minimal in this particular setting. Ernie wanted in my arms the bulk of the time anyway. :-) My precious little cuddle bug. My sister was there with her three chi's also, but only the girls needed shots. Ernie was such a hit. So many people commented on how gorgeous he is. One girl wanted to know if I'd had him fixed. :-) She had an adorable little LC Chi. I must lead a boring life to think getting out to take the dogs for shots is a big deal! I think Ernie will probably snooze all evening.

Wow, that's a really great deal!! I was pleasantly surprised when Holly got her rabies shot last month because I took her on a Wednesday, and it turns out that Wednesdays are half price vaccines at my vet's office. It wasn't nearly as good of a deal as $5 though!

Iused to take my dogs there but a couple of them had issues so they wouldn't gve them shots any longer. I don't get my dogs shots every yr I don't think they need them that often.

Oh no Alisha, I don't get mine done every year either. Here in OH we are only required to have their rabies done every three years.
What kind of issues did they have. Did you think it was avoidable? I don't think I can take Buford there next year. He gets deathly ill with rabies shot. I thought we might lose him a couple years ago. He has terrible allergies.

Poco's face swelled up like a balloon then 1 of the others did the same & they flat refused to give them to them. So to the vet we go Jax id overdue for his rabies & a neuter I'm nervous about getting him neuterd because they (frenchies) tend to not tolerate anesthesia well

Well we have a couple of problems with that 1) Bella & Mia are not spayed That being said supposedly Frenchies cannot mount 2) Poco wasn't neutered until a couple of yrs ago & he marked all the time still does some

Oh yes I can see how that might be a problem. Maybe get Bella and Mia spayed instead? I'm guessing even if Jax can't mount them he might try.
I think that's so unusual that there's a breed that can't mate on its own. I know you had mentioned it once before and I also saw it on Animal Planet's Dogs 101 when they profiled the French Bulldog.

I think the English Bulldog is the same.
