Thank you Teddy and Woody for emailing us at dogster to tell us about this board. I have a 9 month old chi female, and her name is Bindi. We also have a golden retriever named Ranger, and he's decided that he has to protect Bindi from any charging dogs (he's the big brother, you know). I am 7 weeks from graduating nursing school, and expect to be able to get yet another chi (I love all dogs though). We are not Missouri natives, but came from Washington state due to a move for husband's job. I also expected to be able to have less competition for nursing school. So happy to be here. I have a friend with 3 havanese...she may like this site too.

hi there krista welcome! my mom was a nurse and my one sis is in the process of becoming one. you must be so excited about graduating so soon! do you know what kind of chi you are going to get? for my third one i'd really like a smooth coat red or tan. i thought bindi was just gorgeous when i saw her picture on dogster that would be awesome if your friend joined!

I think I'd still like to have a long coat again, and I'd like one like your light chi. The whole reason I have a chi, is because someone's chi fell in our pool, and she was too short to jump off the step and out. We had her for 3 days, and fell in love. She was a red short coat chi. I like the short hair (definatly the red color was attractive) but I found her short hairs to be more like little porcupine quills. Long story short (as you may have read), we saw the "missing" signs and returned Honey to her owners. My husband said we could get one (he was charmed himself) and here we are!
Bindi is a *purebred german shephard* ;-) in her mind. I absolutely adore her. I think she needs a playmate that is fast and playful too so she can chase somebody besides the cat.
