Hello all, I'm new to this board and thought I should introduce myself. My name is Lauren and I live in Massachusetts. If you're wondering what my screen name stands for, "GSD" stands for German Shepherd Dog. I know, I know, not a toy breed, but they are indeed my Number 1 favorite. Currently, I own an American Eskimo (Standard variety), a Ball Python, and a Common Corn Snake. In the past, we've also owned an Old English Sheepdog, a Shetland Sheepdog, and a Pomeranian. My Pomeranian is what I joined this board for. Her name was Glitter, and she was a very special dog to me. She was a gift from my mom. So, I raised her and trained her, and she became my ideal dog. What a smart girl she was too, she even learned a 2nd language! We had hopes of breeding her one day, but that didn't happen, because she passed away mysteriously at only 3 yrs of age. We don't know why, but speculate it could've had something to do with her past. We found out that she was born in a puppy mill in Iowa, and was shipped to MA where we purchased her. We really loved her and don't regret purchasing her, but I wish we could've known what we were getting into. Please, do your homework before you buy any dog, and hopefully you will avoid any future headaches or heartaches...

Hi Lauren welcome! I'm so sorry about Glitter That's great advice to do your homework before getting a pet I would love to see pictures of your American Eskimo I think German Shepherds are awesome dogs. When I was growing up my neighbor had one that was so friendly. Do you plan on getting one in the future?
