You know I always thought all dogs loved bullysticks which is why I was so surprised Woody didn't the first time I got them. I hope she enjoys them You know what else is good is flossies. Both of mine prefer those over bullysticks.

Jen, I think Shiloh is taking after Woody. She chewed on it for a bit, but eventually got bored. . I think it's since they are harder to chew than other things. Where can I get the floosies? Can I get them at petsmart or something?

I ordered both the Merrick bullysticks and flossies from here... Only Natural Pet Store I used their catalog that you can request. The bullysticks I saw in Petsmart and other places like that weren't Merrick and had this funky shellac on them. That stuff can make a huge mess on your carpets so I went with Merrick since they don't have that on their chews. You know after Woody had his first flossie he did eat a bullystick the next time I got them. They both have a smell but I guess the bullystick smells different

Thanks for the links Jen! I think the bully sticks are growing on her now, because she's chewing on it right now over all her other bones. I guess she got the chewing down! ;D I'm going to see how Harley likes them when I go home for Easter. I'm sure he will. I only got the little ones, but I'm sure the labs would like them too. I can picture them chewing the bully sticks up in a minute!

When giving them to your larger dogs, well any dog for that matter I guess, the thing to watch out for that I read about while researching bullysticks before I purchased them is some dogs when they get down to the last little piece will swallow it whole rather than chew it. One woman who said this happened with her dog said her dog was lethargic for three days after consuming the bullystick.
When my guys got their sticks to around 2" in length I took them away. I figured with the way Woody gobbles his food down I could see him swallowing the last piece whole.

Thanks for the info Jen. Usually with Har and Shi's bones I take them away when they get them to the last section. It doesn't really look like Shiloh made a dent into the bully stick yet... she's almost eating it like someone would eat corn on the cob. ;D I'll definitely have to look into getting the larger ones for the labs. I think they'd really like them and plus it'll be great treat since it's all natural.

Corn on the cob ;D You know what I love about bullysticks is how hard they are. I really wanted to be able to give my guys a chew they would really enjoy but after having bad experiences with rawhide, greenies and similar chews I didn't know what to give them. When I heard about bullysticks it did gross me out at first ;D but after reading reviews from people who had given them to their dogs I was really attracted to the fact that they were described as being very hard and long lasting. I think the plus for me is they can't break off tiny pieces

I gave Shiloh some Flossies last week and she loved them! She wouldn't get bored of them and would sit and chew on it for a while. She gets easily distracted with the bully sticks. ;D

Oh I'm glad she enjoyed them! I know my guys prefer flossies over bullysticks. They look and smell the same to me
