Do you give them to your guys and gals? If so how often? And have you had any trouble with them like diarrhea? Friends give them to their Chihuahuas and I'm considering giving them a try  I looked up if they were safe and found this, Are bully sticks safe? |

I give them to my guys and haven't had any problems! They are a little pricier than other chews, but they last really long. I know what they are... but oh well.

Lin do they make a mess on your carpet? And do you recommend a certain brand?
Also do you let them eat the whole thing or are they just suppose to chew it like a Nylabone and you take it away if they break off pieces.

My guys have never ever broken a piece off. They are real tough and after they get it wet (slobbered) down it gets kinda chewy. They've never ever eaten the whole thing at once, they just chew awhile and then let it go. I give them the whole thing like I do a nylabone. My carpet is a mess but I've never noticed a mess from the bully sticks. The store where I buy mine carries the Merrick brand and they are in three different sizes. We always buy the smallest. |

Just adding - the boys get a bully stick most days. It keeps them occupied and not fighting. They LOVE them. They are a bit stinky, but I haven't seen any mess from them/

It's good to know so many give them to their small dogs without a problem  The other thing a friend gives to her Chihuahua which I might also try are flossies. I think they're similar to bully sticks but not as hard. |
