I haven't done this myself but was wondering if anyone else had. Whenever I would see posts about it I just assumed the clicking was used as a deterant but after reading about it the clicking sound is to let the dog know they did something good. I'm not sure Teddy would think that sound meant he did the right thing clicker training

I've tried it and the first try, the boys were afraid of the sound. I learned later on to put the clicker behind me. The only one I've really had much success with at all is Charlene. Maybe I just didn't persevere long enough.

Did you see on that site you can use it with horses and cats. I can see horses but cats?

I'm supposed to be training Cosette with the clicker. At our agility class the trainer uses clicker training and thinks it works best, but Cosette is kind of afraid of it, she said I just need to keep using it and treating her everytime so she forms the positive association. I got this clicker that has a long rod that pulls out so they can also use it for touch and follow but no great luck yet . The trainers chihuahua and pugs do great with the clicker though so I guess I need to just keep practicing.
