Today a friend mentioned to me her dog recently had problems with his anal glands so I thought I'd post this info pet education

Excellent article. We went through that with Bu awhile back and it is unpleasant. The vet said they didn't see an impaction, but there was a slight show of blood when they expressed them, so they didn't take any chances. They put him on antibiotics.

Really helpful artice Jen ! Thanks for posting it. As you know, tyson has just had an abcess on his anal gland so the information has really helped

You were the friend I was talking about I'm so glad Tyson is feel better I can only imagine how uncomfortable it must feel for dogs that have that problem.

Aw poor guy. My sisters little dog got an abcess while I was dogsitting when she was out of the country! Oye Vey! That was awful.

My parent's Great Dane had problems with leaky anal glands his whole life. It was gross to say the least. Thank goodness the three they have now don't have any problems

Aww thanks Jen Yes it was awful for him he could hardly walk
