Hello everyone My name is Cory and my fur is a 5 month old chorkie named Max. He has had quite the dramatic start to his life. First, a little background... We just lost our beloved pure bred pug (Flex) due to a massive heart attack this past July at the tender age of 8 years. It was extremely traumatic to our entire family. We were trying desperately to get past this enormous loss and were introduced to this adorable puppy. So.... We couldn't resist this tiny guy and he just seemed to fill that emptiness Flex had left. Max was the runt of his litter and just stole our hearts. We got him home and a couple days later he developed kennel cough. We got him through that and he then was played with a little too rough by our huge tomcat....his hip was injured. Got him all healed up from that and he came in contact with the dreaded PARVO!!!! After 4 days of being in the hospital and me going in to sit with him in his quarntined cage for hours on end....this amazing puppy fought for his life and WON!! He has made a miraculous recovery and you would never know he'd had such a rough start to life. There's my book on this tiny puppy's start of life. He's just an amazing little guy and I can't imagine life without him. Can't wait to get to know the rest of you and your fur babies

Hi Cory Wow he's been through more in 5 months than some dogs go through their entire lives I'm so glad he's okay now He is SO cute! I'm sorry about Flex I got Teddy right after the loss of my first Chihuahua so I know how devastating it can be. I wouldn't have been able to get through it if I hadn't gotten Teddy I'm glad you joined

Hi, and welcome to the forum!! Boy, Max sounds like one incredible pup!! I'm so glad he made it through all the bad stuff I fully understand your feelings about Flex. I waited 8 months after losing my cocker spaniel to get Holly because I just wasn't sure I could go through that loss again. But now she's here and I couldn't love her more! She's a 2-yr old chihuahua, and quite a little pistol ;D I look forward to getting to know you and Max better!
