Both Teddy and Woody have had Frontline used on them multiple times over the years without any problems which is why I was surprised to see the bad reaction Woody recently got when I put it on him. I always spilt the dosage in two so Teddy and Woody only get half of the recommended amount applied to their should/neck area. I put it on them last Thursday at 10am. During the day Woody seemed to get more stiff and lethargic and whimpered slightly when I picked him up. I washed the Frontline off of both of them at 10pm and emailed my vet. The next morning she said I could give him some Benadryl. He looked like he was turning white again, like he did from the IMHA, so I brought him to the vet. She took some blood and said he physically felt okay. His blood work results came back normal on Friday but for the next two days Woody was in pain. He cried out three times when touched in a certain area on his should/neck. He also had to have his food and water dishes elevated. By Sunday he was acting more like himself. Walking around more and wagging his tail. But still needed to use elevated dishes. Here it is Monday and while he 's acting even more like his old self, there's still some stiffness that remains. I Googled to see if others had had similar reactions when using Frontline on their dogs and found out quite a few on one website had. In fact some described even worse reactions.

It took about 5 days but thankfully Woody is back to his old self. No more flea/tick products for my two.
