Can anyone recommend a good dog shampoo? I've never found one that I loved and the one I have now doesn't lather at all.

Awesome. TY
How often do you bathe your pups? I've been giving mine a bath once a month two days before I apply their Frontline.

Me too! Once a month UNLESS and I swear Mabelline is the ONLY one that does this...what is it about a chihuahua and something stinky...like..ummmmm a dead slug or a gaint dead worm THAT they have to rub their faces all over it! Then...she gets another bath

I use Pet Botanics oatmeal puppy shampoo (even though she's not a puppy anymore). When she was little, she was itchy, and the vet said I absolutely had to get something that said "puppy" and "oatmeal". The only place I could find it was at walmart.com, but it's GREAT!! It smells terrific! And she has absolutely no itching. I give her a bath about once a month.

I just use shampoo...my vet recommended it years ago because Duke (my checked boxer) had severe allergies to lots of different over-the-counter puppy shampoos and it just kind of stuck. They always smell like a just washed (I love that smell). I keep hearing about oatmeal shampoos for allergies but I have never tried any on Duke. I guess I found something that works and I get leary with changing with him as he is so sensitive. I bath them every 4-6 weeks, depends on how fast they get stinky. Chopper likes dead things too!! Nothing like thinking awww look at him rolling in the grass having a good ol' time and picking him up to give him a kiss and he smells like.....well STINKY!
