I'm considering switching my guys food to one of the following brands below. I was wondering if anyone uses or has used any of them. If you have what are your thoughts Halo Wellness Nutro Solid Gold

Holly used to eat Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit (salmon and bison). She liked it and did very well on it. She now is on Wellness Small Breed, and I'm very happy with it as well. I don't really think you can go wrong with any of those brands

Thanks Currently they are eating Chicken Soup which I think is a great food. Woody is a poop eater and I've read it can have to do with undigested food. I'm not sure if that has to do with the dog or the food but CS is the only food where Woody eats their poop. All of those foods listed above are now available to me locally so I thought I might try one and see if the poop eating stops

Good luck! No matter what food Holly's on, she a poo-eater too ;D I'm just glad I'm home with her all the time to keep her from being able to get it like she wants to.

I had my girls on Wellness small breed for about a year and they did great on it, I loved how small the kibble is. Right now because I am staying with my mom, they are eating Chicken Soup with all of her chis just because it's a pain to try to feed two different ones and they end up getting the chicken soup anyway. They ate it for several years before and have always done great on it too. I think any of those foods listed though are good foods. When Izzy was having the major kidney issues I had to feed her canned food because she was so finicky, and the only one she liked was Solid Gold. I also gave her the Solid Gold green tripe which smells horrible but really got her through and it's supposed to be very good for dogs, especially ones on kidney diets because of the phosphorous protein ratio. I can't really remember, but all three of mine love the Solid Gold canned. Sadly, Izzy is a poo eater on any food she eats too. ;D

Eek I was really hoping a different food might stop his poop eating but now after hearing about Holly and Izzy I'm not sure it will make a difference I've requested a sample pack from Wellness and Solid Gold On a side note. I came across this when looking up Nutro, FDA confirms probe. It's from a few months back so I'm not sure what the status of the situation is now but I do find it troubling.

Maybe it will make a difference with Woody, can't hurt to try anyway. I've never figured out why Izzy does it, it grosses me out so much but there doesn't seem to be any way to stop it other than to get it up right away. That does look bad about Nutro. I have never used it and dobut I will ever, even if it's confirmed okay now, I'm just so paranoid after the treats caused Izzy's problem.

Wellness is sending me a sample pack. If all goes good I'll most likely switch to their food

Well we went with Wellness It's the first food I've fed them that Teddy is excited to eat With previous foods it was always difficult to get him to eat his breakfast. Now he gobbles it down as fast as Woody does
