not to rehome Charlene. She is such a bad dog! She is a female Marley!!!! Today she shredded one big corner of my hubbies comforter. She also got into some storage stuff that was under the bed and partially shredded TWO, not one, sweaters that my grandmother made for me when I was a , and would have been passed down to my daughter. I am heartsick. These garments were handmade 60 yr. old. pieces in mint condition. All that after pulling the leash out of my hand and running the neighborhood this morning. And I am still , too to chase after her. I really am very frustrated with her. She is nothing at all like the chi's. If Buford had acted like that, I'd never have gotten a second dog. I think I should have stuck to chi's. I know the breed and love the breed. Charlene mystifies me. She's just totally wild.

I'm so sorry she ruined your sweaters Lin Did she chew these things when she was left alone? I know if dogs suffer from separation anxiety they can get into all sorts of trouble when left alone. If you really aren't happy with her maybe it's best that you do find her another home. I think dogs can sense things like that in people.

I am embarrassed to admit that she did it while I was in the room with her and engrossed in the computer!!!
I hate the thought of getting rid of her because I'm scared to death I won't be able to find a good home for her.
I will really have to think about it. There are times when she'll look up into my face with her beautiful little face and my eyes just well up with tears because she's so sweet. It's been a hard day and not feeling good doesn't help the situation any.

Woody has done that, taken something while I was in the room and was already to start chewing it but luckily I caught him before he began. Maybe Charlene was bored or trying to get your attention I wonder if you could ask someone that was really good at knitting or sewing to repair the sweaters?

Actually, I am good and crocheting, but there is no way to repair it. I had tried to repair some other things my grandma crocheted and the differences in the threads over the years just makes it impossible to do.

Thanks girls. I haven't done much crocheting recently because my eyes get so tired. Oh yuck getting old is the pits sometimes. But if I do find pics (I know I have some) of some of the afghans I've made... I'll post. :-)

Lin, this site has been acting up on me, so I haven't been able to post much, but I wanted you to know that I feel your pain. Dogs can really try your nerves at times! Sorry about your sweaters
