New Chews A Bust :(

Woody loves Nylabones but I don't like that he chews off little bits so I wanted to get him a hard chew. Drs. Foster and Smith have this super hard long lasting bone so I ordered two of. I got the hickory flavored variety.

Well they came yesterday and were such a fantastic thing to Teddy and Woody they only touched them when I first gave it to them and spent the rest of the day guarding them from a distance. They both seemed very stressed and worried so I had to put them away

I'm thinking if I had gotten the plain one and not hickory maybe they wouldn't be so wonderful and they would be okay with each having one

Mine do that with their moo tubes BUT it is just for the first day...I call it the gaurd day !
After that well the new wears off and then heck he grabs hers she grabs his it is all good after the first day.
I will say that one time we got fresh bones from the butcher...not not good.
They totally went into attack mode.
Another animal didnt even have to be near....just attack across the room it was crazy!

The trouble is Woody wants everything. They have something like 8 Nylabones and Galileos to chew on so plenty for both but if Teddy has one Woody won't touch any of them he has to have Teddy's and that's how it was with the hickory bone. Woody just kept positioning himself in different locations trying to figure out how to get Teddy's. And Teddy on the other hand only showed interest in his when Woody would get too close. I guess my two can't have anything that's too super fantastic ;D
