Woody's Lupus has returned :(

I'm pretty crushed His nose shows signs that the Discoid Lupus is returning. It's only been 6 months

What bothers me most is he has always had a weight issue. I have to be very careful about what he eats. When he takes the meds to treat the Lupus the Prednisone alone can cause him to gain weight but so does all the extra stuff I have to use to get him to take his meds. I have to put the one tablet in peanut butter because it can't be taken with any dairy. The other tablets I put in cream cheese.

I'm so sorry I used to take lots of prednisone, medrol for my asthma and yeh it's not great for weight issues. Luckily when I took it I was skinny.I'm sorry Jen

What will be the next step? do they put him back on the meds until it settles down?

Jayne that's exactly the next step. He went back on the two meds and one vitamin today. Nice thing is he didn't throw up or act at all The first time he was on the medications when the Lupus was first diagnosed he didn't feel very good and was throwing up. I think a big help this time is he is taking Pepcid to settle his stomach. My vet didn't mention Pepcid until a week into his meds the last time

The good thing about this Lupus is it is benign and is limited to the skin.

aw well thats a positive Jen im glad he's not having reactions to the meds that must make it 10 times worse if he's being
Poor boy I hope the meds help it settle down.
